USGS API | D3.js | LeafletThis interactive visualization maps global earthquakes in real time using data from the USGS. Built with D3.js and Leaflet, it displays earthquakes as both individual points and an overlaid heatmap, where color represents magnitude and intensity shows activity concentration.
Text Sentiment
Sentiment.js | RiTA | D3.jsThis project visualizes sentiment patterns in President Roosevelt’s State of the Union addresses from 1939–1945. Using Sentiment.js to score emotional tone and RiTa to extract nouns, it identifies the most frequent positive and negative terms. An interactive display shows these nouns as color-coded circles—size indicates frequency—and lets users explore how Roosevelt’s language and tone shifted year by year during World War II.
Hex Clock
D3.jsThe time (HH:MM:SS) becomes a hex color code that fills the page background, changing every second. A grid of 60 squares shows each second of the minute—when a second passes, its square turns white, creating a gradual filling effect.
